music: THE BRAZILIAN SINGER ANITTA IS 1ST PLACE IN THE CHARTS OF SPOTIFY BRAZIL!

Anitta never ceases to impress her Brazilian fans and fans around the world!

"Girl From Rio" launched this last Thursday (01/27) her newest bet for the international market, the single: "Boys Don't Cry".

The Track is the 5th single released for the album. Produced by Max Martin, producer of Britney Spears, Doja Cat, Backstreet Boys and Adele, the song has a very pop production with a strong "punk-rock aroma" of the 80's, for both: the music and for the video.

The video was directed by herself, along with director Christian Breslauer, who has recently worked with the big stars of the current international scene: Lil Nas X, Doja Cat and The Weeknd. The video, which looks more like a short film and had as a reference the films "Beetlejuice", "Elvira: The Dark Queen", "Titanic", "Harry Potter", "Resident Evil" and "Bride on the Run". The result was incredible!

At her press conference that took place in the day after the video was released (Friday), she talked about the release of Boys Don't Cry. Anitta had already revealed before the release of the song and reaffirmed that her biggest inspiration for the song was the band "Panic At The Disco!", and for the lyrics of the sanction, she stated:

"There were some exes getting too upset, wanting to come back. I went and said I wanted to talk about it. That there are men who don't understand when a woman owns herself, has attitude, knows a lot about what she wants, and is independent. There are men who don't knows how to deal with it. Then, they are devastated".

Anitta also took the opportunity to vent about the pressure she receives from the Brazilian public regarding the way her team and she manage her international career: "Nowadays, people know what "cancel culture" is. , 'fuck this girl, I don't know if she'll stay alive'. I spent 7 years taking hate. Who does, you know. In others it's refreshment! We know how long it took me to jump this barrier. And then there's a pressure so that things in the United States are fast. It's not just Miami, New York and Los Angeles. It won't be that fast, I not looking at numbers. I launch, I put what I liked. If I'm happy with the result, it's great. Success for me is being happy, being well, doing what you like and what you're into".

And Anitta isn't wrong, right!? Since it can be considered a national heritage, since it achieves results that no Brazilian singers has ever achieved, in the same proportion.

“Boys Don’t Cry” has already accumulated over a million streams, with less than 12 hours of release. And with less than 72 hours of the "release", the song is already number 1 on Spotify and Itunes Brasil, 2nd place on Youtube and is still expected to debut in the top 50 on Spotify Global.

Anitta is still the most listened to Brazilian in the world!
